I have never met Steve Jobs. All I know about the man are his quotes, his appearances in public, and what other people have passed on about him.
You’re reading this on a computer, one that probably has a mouse as input device and a graphical user interface. You may also own a mulitouch smartphone. Steve Jobs didn’t invent any of those things, but he refined them and made sure the rest of us could have access to that technology.
Steve Jobs envisioned computers as bicycles for the mind. We have not yet achieved that goal, but thanks to his passion and dedication we are much closer to it than before.
Steve Jobs leaves a big hole in our technologically driven world. It is now up to us to step up and fill it.
